The demolition of an old house in this conservation area provided the opportunity for 8 new apartments with the penthouses having sea views. The building was designed with undercroft parking to eliminate the surface parking issues and to maintain as much garden amenity space as possible, although the development was only a 5 minute walk away from the beach. External materials were a particular issue with particular regard to colour and style of windows. The stone from the existing house was reused on the new building.
